Thames Festival Fireworks

To mark the end of the Thames Festival, a spectacular fireworks display will be taking place on Sunday on the River Thames.  This event is to mark the end of the 12th Thames Festival. Hopefully it will be a roaring success as opposed to the River of Fire that marked the millennium and which was actually more of a damp squib as opposed to an amazing display. Buy fireworks will be fired form barges on the actual river and will start after the end of the carnival. Lasting ten minutes and starting at 9.45pm the best vantage point will be Victoria Embankment, Waterloo Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge. If you fancy creating your own display then check out our discount fireworks.

Edinburgh Firework Concert Success

Monday, September 7th, 2009

Over 100,000 fireworks fired and 220,000 people gathered in Edinburgh’s city centre to experience the rapturous finale of the 3 week long cultural celebrations. The organisers obviously read the monster Blog and made sure they fired at least 100,007 fireworks taking no chances!

Congratulations to Pyrovision for a remarkable display. Excerpts from Music for the Royal Fireworks began as traditional waterfall fireworks cascaded down the sides of Edinburgh’s Castle. The 45-minute concert came to a dramatic climax as the Hallelujah Chorus played to rapid sequences of gold and silver fireworks spiraled above the castle.  Take a look at the clip above to see the finale. The famous firework waterfall

The famous firework waterfall

Sunday 6th September 2009, 9pm

Just hours to go until The Fireworks Finale at the Edinburgh Festival this weekend. You can still get an Easy Jet flight…

The end to the cultural celebrations in Scotland’s capital will end this weekend with a fireworks concert The event will see live music, performed by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and a choreographed fireworks display set against the backdrop of the city’s famous castle, awsome.

Last weekend however, saw Bournemouth’s World record attempt to ignite 100,000 rockets end with and unexpected result. Let’s wish Edinburgh the best of luck for this weekend as their display will be featuring another round of 100,000 fireworks. If I were the event organiser I would have made it 100,007 just to make sure! A local 10-year-old won the competition to be the official “fire starter” for the evening. No pressure!

You can still get retail waterfall effects from monster fireworks

Firecrackers

firecrackers

Monster Fireworks buy fireworks online

Firecrackers are traditionally used in China to ward off evil spirits. They were originally made from bamboo filled with gunpowder. They are strung together in their hundreds on long string. Firecrackers are usually coloured red as this is believed to be a lucky colour. Once lit, the firecrackers give large bangs and crackles and the explosion goes along each firecracker in the string. Traditional firecrackers are not available in the UK but we are pleased to announce a similar alternative. The crackling snake from Fireworks International is available in our Bristol Shop only (sorry no shipping as yet) and offers an exciting alternative to the fire cracker.
