After many heats the final of the fireworks world championships took place last night in Blackpool. Kimbolton Fireworks provided a dazzling display to conclude the competition that has seen China, Austria, Ireland and France battling it out for the coveted prize. Despite the inclement weather, thousand braved the conditions to be entertained. This year’s winners were China. Cindy Cheung, of the Vulcan International factory, said: “We are delighted to have won this year’s competition and are very proud of this achievement.” Some of the fireworks online are made by the same factory one such example is our Royal Tornado. Firework Drawing

Just last night in BEIJING, Tian’anmen square dazzling firework drawings were used celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the people’s republic of china. The firework drawings were displayed on a screen-like installation on the Square. Gunpowder was fixed on thousands of spots on the screen and were lighted in a preset order to “draw” pictures.  The fireworks were also to shape a Shenzhou spacecraft blasting off to the skies of Beijing. What an awesome spectacle!

On a much smaller scale and sometimes called lance work you can create shapes, letters, and words. Its usually made within a wooden framework and the shapes are made from small fountains. Which when lit together creates an outline of the desired shape in crackles and sparkles. For Bonfire last year we used a pre made one from Fireworks International called the “Skeleton”. It stood 6ft tall and had arms that moved up and down. The kids loved it! You can buy fireworks that say all sorts of messages from simple Hello, good night, and buy custom messages. If like the idea and you want to create a message to say in fireworks then call us.
