“FREE pack of Sky Lanterns! With every new mortgage or ISA” You can see the headline now. I know the adverts been out for some time but as far as adverts go it’s a good advert. Visually it’s really well done and when my mortgage comes up for renewal or whatever financial product they are supposed to be selling I’ll think of that Chinese Bank.
As you would expect the prime time adverts have heightened the public’s awareness of Sky Lanterns and local papers debate over UFO’s sightings has come back down to Earth. Most people seem to love them and think they are a great idea. However, farmers and coast guards don’t. The farmers say they are the equivalent of fly-tipping the country side and kill cows while the coast guard can confuse them with distress signals.
