Firework and match manufacturer Octavius Hunt has asked Bristol council to allow it to store more explosives at its factory. He said they were the kind of items found on supermarket shelves but because of strict regulations, they were classed as low-grade explosives. They have a long history of manufacturing party products – they were the first company in the United Kingdom to make sparklers over 60 years ago.Their sparklers are rigorously tested to make sure they comply with British Standard BS 7114 part 2, this means they are of guaranteed quality.
